Bongwe Safaris offer affordable

budget safaris , birding safaris and

fishing trips in Zambia. We utilize the main

three game parks in the country - The Lower

Zambezi, Kafue National Park and the Luangwa Valley.

Bongwe Safaris also combine our safaris with combination

trips to Livingstone and the mighty Victoria Falls.

Bongwe Safaris also offer affordable accommodation in Lusaka for those that require a short stay in the city. It is ideal for our own safari clients that need a place to stay between combination safaris enabling us to ensure our clients are looked after properly for the duration of their safari trip. It is also ideal for anyone requiring a short stay in Lusaka who require somewhere quiet and more affordable than the main hotels around

We cater for both residents and visitors to Zambia and always ensure that our prices reflect our mission to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to see the abundant wildlife that Zambia has to offer, at an affordable price.

Whether you are looking for a quiet relaxing safari experience in one of Africa's largest unspoilt game parks - the Kafue National Park, or one of the most picturesque game parks - the Lower Zambezi, we operate safaris in both parks as well as safaris in Luangwa with our partner operators. You can also use us for group fishing trips to either game park, and cruise the river watching the game along the river banks. Walking safaris are also available and all accommodation is en-suite in a riverside chalet.

Bongwe Safaris was established in 2009 as we saw a need to offer safaris at a more affordable price than is generally available in the country. The company was set up by Alec Cole, an experienced safari guide for over 15 years in Zambia and Jon Benbow, who has been involved in IT and marketing for over 15 years and has lived in Zambia for more than 20 years. It all started when Alec and Jon realised that as residents in Zambia, going on safari was just too expensive. They started putting together trips for friends and colleagues in Lusaka and word soon spread around town proving to them that not only were affordable safaris workable, but that there was also a demand for it. Since then Bongwe Safaris have expanded to offering safaris to the international market utilising the same business model. Although international visitor prices are slightly higher than resident prices (due to government and park fees etc), the prices are still affordable and better than you can find anywhere else in Zambia on a fully inclusive basis.

Bongwe Safaris have now expanded further by opening the Bongwe Barn and Guesthouse in Lusaka. So now our clients need not stay with any third party for the duration of their trip and can even stay with us when staying in Lusaka. Of course, the guesthouse is available to anyone wishing to stay in Lusaka.
